Hammer & Nail is a book by Erik Eie Almqvist based on the ideologies of Enzo Mari’s book Autoprottegizone. The book is a series of plans for various pieces of furniture based on drawings from Autoprottegazione. Autoprogettazione was written by Enzo Mari when he was 42. The book was free from Mari’s studio if you were prepared to pay the postage and was meant to be for people to make furniture for the home. Not for resale or profit of any kind. Hammer & Nail is well written and simple to follow taking the reader on an easy journey to make simple practical furniture. No great skill levels are required.
